Why choose the Acoustik?

... or ...
  • Choose frustrating

  • Choose relaxing!

It's an origami tangle of rivets, knobs and metal.
I never managed to unfurl it first time!

Rivets popped, metal bent and curses were heard.

A music stand that's a boring, run-of-the-mill black metal contraption. And I like style, I’m a musician.

These old stands are totally devoid of personality. Not for me. Say goodbye to dull and hello to fabulous!

Music maestro! Something totally mind-blowing to share with you!

Picture this: a music stand that's not your boring, run-of-the-mill black metal complication. My stand is a vibrant explosion of colors, thanks to the coolest design you've ever seen. It's like a fashion statement for your music

Add the Spine at your chosen height.

Then add the Head at the Neck!

Packs away just as quickly!

The short leg slots in at the top of the head - now it's a table stand.

You asked ...

  • How ”green” are they?

Apart from the green one, you mean? They are made from birch-faced plywood from the Baltic. The Joints are biodegradeable PLA. The stains and varnish are water based. Sadly this first batch is delivered with polythene bubblewrap ☹️

  • Can I collect one?

You can. They are ready packed but you would save the postage.

  • They wobble on molehills?

Any stand will wobble if you wiggle the top. I wobble if I wiggle my head, but you can't push me over. Same with the Acoustik. But that is not a challenge! Be gentle! And don’t put it on molehills!

  • Will it hold my libretto or iPad?

It holds my iPad Pro (1.5kg). As for librettos, 3 page fold-outs or big folders - you'll need those big, black, solid, heavy stands for them.

  • Is it easy to move?

If you want to pick it up to move it, hold it under the hip joint. But it packs away quickly if you need to move it far!

  • What else can you do with it?

Put your knitting pattern on it, display a picture or just a welcome sign, menu or recipe. The table top use is brilliant for many things.

  • Exact sizes?

    • The Head is 450 x 300mm

    • Weighs only 1.5kg

    • Height adjusts from 67cm to 120cm to the ledge

    • Ideal for standing or sitting in chair

  • These are just cool, aren't they?

Yes, they are!! Super cool. Any slight irregularities are just charming characteristics!

  • Who am I?

Love re-inventing the wheel, re-lyricing (?) old songs and playing the ukulele. You'll really find out who I am on this website of mine! Jon Norris, a SpoonMonger from Herefordshire. The Acoustic was invented out of a need for practicality and simplicity and style. And truly out of frustration with those awful cheap, wobbly, anachronisms made out of Meccano that look like prototypes!

The Seconds

Varnishing is not one of my skills. I tried to cover up runs, re-sprayed some. Grade 2s have a blemish or two (see arrows). Grade 3s may also have a mottled finish. I have left for sale: Blue one Gr2, three Gr3. Green one Gr2 & two Gr3. Red one Gr2. Yellow one Gr3.

Cookies - blah, blah ... nah.
